Session 2 - Wednesday, March 12, 2025 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Stress management is vital to how we navigate our emotions, develop our relationships and maximize our performance. Our goal is to deconstruct stress and make stress management approachable. This workshop places an emphasis on understanding your story and how stress has played a pivotal role in shaping your experiences.
In the end, our workshop participants will be inspired to lead themselves in a way that promotes individual and group health and performance.
Your instructor will:
1. Illuminate the ways we prioritize professional training against the realities of the mission critical teams environment.
2. Identify and practice actionable methods for maximizing performance that include breathwork, emotional labelling and cognitive reappraisal.
The academic content is made easy to understand through the use of humor, story and audience participation.
The instructor, Gordon Mitchell, is an active duty law enforcement Corporal with 10 years of operational experience to include time on SWAT and over 5 years as a Lead Instructor in Violence De-escalation.
